TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona State Water Polo ended the weekend with a 2-2 record against New York Athletic Club (NYAC), after splitting the final two games of the four game exhibition series at the Mona Plumer Aquatic Center.
NYAC held off a a late push by the Sun Devils in the first of two games on Sunday to escape with a 10-9 victory over ASU, and take a 2-1 lead in the weekend series.
Powered by a four goal effort from former team USA competitor Lauren Silver, NYAC poured on a steady attack that saw five goals in each half of game one that also saw the visitors outshoot the Sun Devils 35-19 in the contest.
