ASU Volleyball: The Sun Devils swept in Los Angeles, lose to UCLA

After sweeping Arizona to start 2019 Pac-12 play, the Arizona State volleyball team got swept themselves by UCLA (25-13, 25-14, 25-20).

The Sun Devils (9-4, 1-1 Pac-12) couldn’t find their offensive groove in Southern California, as the team’s leader in kills, Claire Kovensky, could only manage to finish with eight.

The UCLA Bruins move to 2-0 in conference play for the first time since 2011, they are now 7-4 overall.

Offensively the Devils couldn’t find the success they had in the home opener. ASU finished with only a .082 hitting percentage, a new season-low. Kovensky was the bright spot for head coach Sanja Tomasevic, as she connected for eight kills on 20 attacks, finishing with a .
