The Sun Devils struggled in coach Mussie’s return as a head coach to the school where she won a National Championship as a player. Mussie looks to build her program into a powerhouse as she admits her and her staff aren’t used to losing.
The star of the afternoon for the Huskies was junior outside hitter Tia Scambray, who dominated offensively getting 20 kills and an incredible .567 hit percentage. Scambray hasn’t done too much for Washington this season, but had a great season a year ago as a member of the 2015 All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention team.
Washington had an overall great offensive performance and dominated a Sun Devil team that wasn’t able to matchup with them.
