ASU visits nation's No. 1 shooting guard, Hamidou Diallo

Arizona State is pursuing one of the top players in the 2017 class.

ASU assistant coach Anthony Coleman visited five-star prospect Hamidou Diallo on Wednesday.

A 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Putnam Science Academy in Queens Village, N.Y., Diallo is considered the top player at his position in his class and a Top 15 overall prospect. According to 247 Sports, Diallo also this week met with Kentucky coach John Calipari, as well as coaches from Syracuse and Kansas.

ASU currently has one player committed to coach Bobby Hurley's 2017 recruiting class. Point guard Remy Martin of Chatsworth (Calif.
