Arizona State (25-17, 5-10 Pac-12) ventures into the Bay Area this weekend to take on Stanford (31-10, 7-5 Pac-12) as the Sun Devils look to snap a nine-game losing streak against a Cardinal team who is having an impressive season under second-year head coach Jessica Allister.
Allister has her team over the 30-win plateau and they are entering one of the toughest portions of their schedule. Stanford was swept and run ruled twice at No. 5 Arizona last weekend.
Additionally, the Cardinal have yet to play No. 2 UCLA and No. 4 Washington. With a chance to make up ground in the conference standings, this weekend’s series is pivotal in regards to fourth place and a possible postseason regional host, which the Sun Devils are still in contention for.
