The Sun Devils entered into the weekend losing six in row getting swept by No. 8 Arizona and No. 1 UCLA. They were looking for their first win since March 24 where they made an eight-run comeback versus Utah.
They looked to get back in the winning column on Friday to hopefully pull off an upset win versus the Huskies and be in a good situation to win the series. One thing that was clear is things did not go to plan.
Huskies went up early 4-0 in the second inning of the game. They would add one more in fourth to create a solid lead for Washington.
