No. 16 Arizona State bounced back from Friday’s loss versus No. 4 Florida with an 8-2 win over Central Michigan Saturday afternoon.
It looked bleak early for the Sun Devils as Central Michigan capitalized off a hit by pitch and a walk to take a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
Mejia then settled in and allowed no runs and just four hits in the final six innings of work in route to her second complete game as a Sun Devil.
The Fresno State transfer tallied a season-high seven strikeouts in the win as she improves to 5-0 on the season.
