Arizona State is the winner of the second annual National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Sustainability Award for its work on Sun Devil Stadium renovation and the Weatherup Center.
The award, presented by USG Corporation, will be presented Nov. 10 during ASU's football game against Utah.
ASU was chosen from three finalists by a seven-member committee consisting of athletic directors and NACDA/USG representatives. The award honors universities for incorporating sustainable practices and materials into their athletics facilities.
"Arizona State embraces sustainability as a core value campus wide, and we’re honored to receive the USG NACDA Sustainability Award," ASU Vice President for Athletics Ray Anderson said in a statement.
