Junior punter Michael Turk of Arizona State has been named to the watch list for the Ray Guy Award which goes annually to the nation's top punter. Classmate Cristian Zendejas has also been singled out on the Lou Groza watch list for the top kicker.
Turk, the nephew of former NFL standout Matt Turk, was a first team All-Pac-12 selection last year as a sophomore. He had 67 punts, averaging a school-record 46 yards, which ranked 11th nationally. Of the 67 tries, he had 53 of 50 yards or more and 36 downed inside the 20 yard line.
