Arizona State Sun Devils (2-0) scored a program record 24 goals in its 24-6 victory over the Detroit Mercy Titans (0-2). It was the first time these two teams ever faced each other.
The Sun Devils were dominant from the first draw, scoring five unanswered goals until the Titans finally put one in the back of the net 11 minutes in.
However, the maroon and gold defense came up big throughout the rest of the half, only allowing two more goals and going into halftime with a 15-3 lead.
At the half, the Sun Devils were hot in many categories.
