Arizona State football began its third week of spring practice Tuesday, continuing to work out indoors at the Dickey Dome. Coach Herm Edwards did not speak to the media afterward due to another commitment.

Offensive coordinator Rob Likens pulled out John McKay's famous quote about his team's execution — I'm in favor of it — to explain some of the dropped passes and miscues during spring practice No. 9.
"We've only got three scholarship players (at wide receiver) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays," Likens said.
