It was forks up at the Territorial Cup football game in Tucson Friday evening, but Arizona State didn’t stop there.
The Sun Devils also plunged the prongs down into the hearts of the Wildcats. That was no small feat, since the Wildcats played as if their hearts and minds were elsewhere.
The result was a 70-7 victory for ASU, its first of the season. It was the 12th consecutive defeat for the Wildcats, extending a school record.
Under normal circumstances (remember those?) Arizona coach Kevin Sumlin would be fired after the 13th consecutive loss, which is scheduled to come next week in the season’s final game.
