Arizona State Sun Devils senior safety Marcus Ball retired from football on Wednesday afternoon due to epileptic seizures in an announcement via his Twitter page.
This is the third of Arizona State’s 2016 starting defensive backs to retire since the end of last season and second due to health concerns. Starting defensive back Kareem Orr transferred to Chattanooga on May. 30 and corner Armand Perry retired due to several issues with injury on May. 24.
Ball noted in his Twitter announced he retirement due to epileptic seizures, and that it has been an ongoing issue since he was diagnosed in the summer of 2014.
