Arizona State football coach Herm Edwards strolled into the postgame press conference after his Sun Devils squeaked out a 38-34 win over Washington State on Saturday and twice in the first five minutes made reference to his team not being able to do anything easy.
That game followed an all-too-familiar pattern, one of close games decided by the slightest of margins. It isn't just a trend over the first half of this season. It extends back to 2018, Edwards' first season at the helm.
