Scottsdale, Ariz. – Arizona State Men's Golf used a strong back-9 to finish 9-under par and 6th in the 18-team field on day one of the 2022 Maui Jim Intercollegiate at Mirabel Golf Club Friday afternoon.
ASU was paced by Ryggs Johnston and Preston Summerhays at 3-under 67. The veterans finished in a tie for 20th individually in the 90-player field.
"I really love this round," Head Coach Matt Thurmond said. "We competed and live to see tomorrow. It's not where we want to be but I thought we battled.
