Box Score PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Sun Devil baseball team dropped the second game of its weekend series against No. 2 Oregon State, falling 10-1 Friday evening at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
Starting left-hander Spencer Van Scoyoc took the mound first for the Sun Devils (9-9), making his fifth start of the season. Van Scoyoc battled command issues to start his outing, but settled into the flow of the game keeping the Beavers from opening the game up. Van Scoyoc went 4.1 innings, allowing two earned runs on six hits. Of the thirteen outs that Van Scoyoc recorded, 10 were of the groundball variety.
