ASU Baseball: Offense propels Sun Devils to win over Utah

22 combined runs on 25 total hits, pitching seemingly did not matter in Phoenix on Saturday as Arizona State defeated Utah 15-7, the Sun Devils’ second highest scoring output of the season.

ASU hit .435 with runners on base and .438 with runners in scoring position. Every batter in the Sun Devil starting lineup picked up at least one hit. Arizona State also hit seven extra base hits.

The Sun Devil offense took advantage of opportunities early on.

Back-to-back batters were hit by pitches by Utah starter Tanner Thomas. Three straight singles then scored four runs and the score was 4-1.
