ASU baseball earns rare sweep at Stanford

Brian Serven homered in the 10th inning Sunday with what proved to be the winning run in Arizona State baseball's 8-7 victory at Stanford.

ASU (23-14, 9-9 Pac-12) completed its first sweep at Stanford since 1997, wining 3-2 Friday and 9-6 Saturday. The Sun Devils, with six wins in their last eight games off consecutive 3-1 weeks, are in a three-way tie for fifth in the Pac-12, 1 1/2 games behind co-leaders Utah and Washington.

Colby Woodmansee hit a pair of two-run homers in Game 3 at Sunken Diamond, and ASU finished with 10 extra-base hits, the most since February 2010.
