It has been a rough week for Arizona State as the Sun Devils lost to Houston to effectively taking them out of the Big 12 race and any chance of winning a back-to-back conference championship. Not only did that happen, but star quarterback Sam Leavitt, who was named the Big 12 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, is undergoing season-ending foot surgery.
This means that the Arizona State offense is about to change drastically. Leavitt has a lingering foot injury this season that has kept him in and out of the starting lineup. Now, as he was planning to go to the NFL after this season, he will focus on rehabbing to be ready for the NFL Combine and Draft next year.
