TEMPE- Just one week ago, Arizona State was ranked at the No. 25 spot after winning a game over the West Virginia Mountaineers at home.
On Tuesday, the College Football Playoff released its latest rankings heading into the new week. After running back Raleek Brown's historical performance, the Sun Devils moved up by five spots after winning over the Colorado Buffaloes on the road on Saturday.
Additionally, their rivals, the Arizona Wildcats, jumped into the CFB rankings at No. 25, marking the first time since 2014 that both the Territorial Cup will be a ranked-on-ranked matchup.
"This is a game; it matters to the state," Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham said Monday.
