Arizona State Hires Steinberg to Lead Reinstated Men’s Tennis Program

TEMPE, Ariz. – Arizona State University has named former National Coach of the Year and NCAA Championship-winning head coach Adam Steinberg to lead the reinstated men’s tennis program, Vice President for University Athletics and Athletic Director Ray Anderson announced today. Steinberg is the program’s first head coach since Lou Belkin led the program from 1983-2008.

Steinberg spent 12 seasons at Pepperdine (2002-14), leading the Waves to perennial powerhouse status and to the 2006 NCAA Championship in record-setting fashion en route to being named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Coach of the Year. More recently, Steinberg spent the past two seasons at the University of Michigan and led the Wolverines to the largest single-season turnaround in program history.
