A site has put out a list of the schools that won each state in recruiting for 2020 and you might be surprised by its winner in California.
It's not USC. It's not UCLA.
It's not Stanford or California.
It's not even San Diego State, Fresno State or San Jose State or … you get the picture.
It's Arizona State.
Yes, the Sun Devils are the "state champs" of recruiting in California, according to the site, Banner Society.
The writer of the story, Alex Kirshner, came up with the recruiting champion in each state by looking at 247Sports recruit rankings and then seeing which school brought in the most talent from that state.
