Arizona State basketball falls to Kentucky in second round of NCAA Tournament simulation

The Arizona State basketball team nearly made the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 on Saturday night … in a simulation.

ESPN's Joe Lunardi is playing out the NCAA Tournament on Twitter, when the games would have been happening according to his NCAA Tournament bracket projections, and the Sun Devils fell to Kentucky in the second round, 88-81.

Lunardi had ASU as a No. 10 seed in the tournament. Bobby Hurley's team upset No. 7 seed Providence in the first round in his simulation, 75-65.

The ESPN bracketologist is not the only person simulating the tournament for the enjoyment of fans after March Madness was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
