Koa Peat is the latest in the athletic family line to start to see his abilities show up in the form of college scholarship offers.
Only an eighth grader, and already 6-foot-7 at age 14, Peat picked up an offer from Arizona State on Monday, his older brother Cassius said.
Peat attends Aprende Middle School in Chandler. It is part of the Kyrene School District. He could wind up at either Gilbert Perry or Tempe Corona del Sol. No decision has been made yet.
His older brothers, Todd Jr., Andrus and Cassius, all went to Corona del Sol and excelled in sports.
