TEMPE, Ariz. – Oceanside Ice Arena received the sendoff it deserved Saturday night, as Sun Devil Hockey (17-17-1) and its senior class completed a series sweep of Long Island University with a 5-1 victory in front of an electric, sold-out crowd in the final ASU game. The arena served as the home of the Sun Devils for the last three decades.
"It was really cool. Especially that fifth goal," said head coach Greg Powers. "The way that they scored it, and how pretty it was, and how selfless all three were. It was like no one wanted to actually take the final shot.
