WORCESTER, Mass. – For the second time this season, the No. 9/11 Sun Devils found a way to scratch and claw back from a 3rd period deficit to win in overtime on the east coast.
After junior forward Willie Knierim scored his fifth goal in three games to get the game started, Holy Cross (9-14-5) netted two unanswered in the second period to put ASU's (19-9-3) back against the wall. Sophomore forward PJ Marrocco tied the game early in the 3rd, and sophomore defenseman Josh Maniscalco scored the game-winner with 1:16 remaining in overtime for the 3-2 win.
