Eugene, Or. --- No. 19 Sun Devil women's tennis (11-5) walked away with a sweep against Oregon 4-0 in their first Pac-12 conference match of the season Friday afternoon.
"I thought we came out in both singles and doubles and competed and played well," said head coach Sheila McInerney. "Unfortunately for Oregon they had a couple of their players out of the lineup due to injury and to our credit we took advantage of it. Sammi, Lauryn and Savannah finished quickly so that was great. It's nice to start the Pac-12 season with a road win which is never easy to do.
