ITHACA, NY – After a nearly scoreless first period, Friday night's game got away from No. 13 Sun Devil Hockey in a hurry in the final three minutes at No. 17 Cornell.
The Big Red (8-5-1) fired 26 shots on goal in the first period and only needed to find the net twice in their 6-1 win over the Sun Devils (16-8-1).
"Our guys got outworked," said head coach Greg Powers. "That's a really good team and we dug ourselves a hole mentally in the first period, and that's as poorly as we've played all year.
