Ziegler not upset about All-Star omission

It will be a shame if Diamondbacks right-hander Brad Ziegler never makes the All-Star Game despite a career ERA under 2.50. This year, with a 1.25 ERA in 36 innings entering Tuesday, seemed to be especially promising in that respect, but Ziegler found himself on the outside looking in when the National League team was announced on Monday.

He wasn't even among the five other players in contention for the "Final Vote," and that's all right with him.

"You look at the list of relievers, the stats they put up, there were so many closers that had similar numbers to me but had more saves," Ziegler said.
