The Diamondbacks appear likely to have much of the same roster that disappointed in 2020 back for next season, but manager Torey Lovullo said he and his coaching staff are at work behind the scenes to produce better results.
The offense, which struggled for large portions of the season, seems to be getting particular attention, with hitting coach Darnell Coles relaying information to each Diamondbacks hitter in hopes of putting them in better position to succeed, Lovullo said on a conference call with reporters on Monday.
“We’re having conversations internally about some of the things we’re going to do starting with a mental focus with our hitters through the offseason,” he said.
