Arizona Diamondbacks rally late, but drop series opener to New York Mets by José M. Romero [AZ Central]
Down four runs, the Diamondbacks came alive with three runs on three walks and singles from Josh Naylor and Eugenio Suarez. Suarez’s single traveled 412 feet and hit the center field wall on the fly, driving in two. But it wasn’t quite enough, as the Mets held on for a 5-4 win in the first of a seven-game Diamondbacks homestand against two National League division leaders, the Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers.
