Zack Godley allowed six hits and four walks in his five innings of work, but managed to limit the damage to two runs allowed. That was plenty for the offense. Paul Goldschmidt added another extra-base hit (a double) and John Ryan Murphy clubbed three RBI allowing the offense to hand a two-run lead over to Brad Boxberger, who recorded his 18th save of the season.
David Peralta had three hits in the game. Jake Lamb had two of his own, one of which drove a run home.
