The D-backs could only manage 3 hits in this one. Hard to win that way, but they did manage to tie the score in the bottom of the 4th. The bullpen did a fantastic job keeping the game tied until Hirano finally game up a home run to Sandoval which sealed the game. Robbie Ray gave up 2 runs but only 4 innings with another high pitch-count game.
The D-backs seem to play better on the road than at home again this year. Hard to explain, but 4-6 on this homestand is certainly a disappointment.
It can be easily argued that Luke Weaver is the second best starter on the team right now.
