Once again, it took Arizona a little while. But, once they reached the fourth and fifth innings, they started having fun with crooked numbers. Shelby Miller dominated after a slow start, and Yasmany Tomás had a three-run home run to punctuate the night’s offensive statement.
It was roughly a year ago that Shelby Miller’s season effectively came to an end in San Diego. Now the right-hander is enjoying the sort of success expected by many when he was traded for.
His defense will probably never approach anything close to average, but if he hits enough, it might not matter.
