Shelby Miller is doing everything he can to try and make people forget his 2016 season ever happened. On Friday Miller struck out eight Seattle Mariners before exiting the game with a 5-2 lead in the fourth, his pitch count having escalated to 73 pitches due to the high number of strikeouts.
While Miller struk out eight batters in Scottsdale, Arcie Bradley was at work Against the OAkland A’s in Mesa. Bradley looked much stronger, going five full innings and allowing only one run on a solo-shot to lead off the fourth inning.
Arizona’s pitchers will be climbing into the hitter’s box for the first time this spring with their game against Team Netherlands.
