Snake Bytes: 01/18 - Hibernation

Last week MLB teams were allowed to sign international prospects. The biggest splash so far was made by the Houston Astros who signed 22 year old Cuban outfielder Pedro Leon for $4,000,000. The New York Mets (Jared Porter?) and San Francisco Giants have been amongst the most active teams on the international signings market thus far.

The Diamondbacks are not expected to add any big talents and so far have signed some kids for unknown signing bonuses. If you know something about them, share it in the comments:

Two hundred of baseball’s top prospects, representing all 30 teams, participated in the 30th edition of the Rookie Program, which teaches up-and-coming players some off-the-field skills they’ll need to succeed once they reach the big leagues.
