Series Preview: Arizona Diamondbacks at San Francisco Giants

Remember when the schedule came out, and April was declared a critical month for both the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants?

Well…one team got the memo and the other apparently did not. The Giants defeated the San Diego Padres Sunday, but they come into their home opener with a record of 2-7, holding up the rear in the National League West.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Diamondbacks left Chase Field with the best record in baseball, 6-1, and the highest run differential at +19. The first week was a surprise for many, but the facts speak for themselves; Arizona holds a four-game lead on Bruce Bochy’s club and will look to increase that cushion starting Monday afternoon.
