During Tuesday night's Diamondbacks vs. Pirates game, Tony La Russa, the Chief Baseball Officer for the Diamondbacks, went into Pittsburgh's broadcast booth to correct what he called 'inaccuracies' on the part of the Pirates' broadcasters, he said.
Pirates reliever Arquimedes Caminero had hit the Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed and Jean Segura in the head with pitches during the game.
La Russa acknowledged he went into the booth after he “heard some stuff on the air” that he considered inaccurate about his history with retaliatory pitches during his managerial days.
“I never have stood for inaccuracies,” La Russa said, “so I corrected the inaccuracies.
