Tonight marks the first time we face Paul Goldschmidt, and I have so many conflicting feelings here. Over the past five years or so, until the end of 2018, it has been an absolute joy to watch him in a Diamondbacks’ uniform, even as we knew his exit from the team was almost inevitable. It came in December and... I came to terms with it. As a fan, I didn’t like it, but I understood the necessity of it. And if that had been all, I’d have had nothing but goodwill for Goldschmidt.
