After losing Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night to fall behind in the NBA Finals, 3-2, some Phoenix Suns fans mentioned another Arizona team as a reason for hope.

Like the 2021 Suns in the NBA Finals, the Diamondbacks had a 2-0 lead in the 2001 World Series before dropping three straight games to fall behind the New York Yankees, 3-2, like the Suns have done with the Bucks.
The Diamondbacks then went on to win Games 6 and 7 and take home the World Series.
