OF David Peralta will have season-ending surgery on right wrist

Peralta's injury-plagued season prematurely ends with the outfielder needing surgery to stabilize a tendon in his right wrist. Peralta injured his wrist a second time crashing into the RF wall at Chase Field last Friday making a game-saving catch in the 9th inning of a Diamondbacks win.

2016 has been a lost year for outfielder David Peralta. Last season, Peralta busted out with a .312/.371/.522 slash that included 26 doubles, 10 triples, and 17 homers in 517 plate appearances. The team was hoping to build upon that performance to make a run in 2016 which hasn't happened due to various injuries and/or poor play across the board.
