Miller whiffs 8 Mariners in just 3 1/3 innings

After retiring the first batter of the inning, though, Nakaushiro walked the bases loaded before Ryan Casteel unloaded them with a grand slam to give the Mariners a 6-5 lead.

The Mariners were not done as Jay Baum doubled home a pair of runs and Adam Law capped the scoring with a single to left-center to score Baum.

The only downside for Miller is he would've liked to have gone deeper in the game, as he lasted just 3 1/3 innings before his pitch count of 73 forced him to exit.

"It's nice to get some swings and misses," Miller said.
