PITTSBURGH -- Ketel Marte delivered a two-out single to center to score Jon Jay with what proved to be the winning run as the D-backs beat the Pirates, 2-1, in 13 innings on Friday night at PNC Park.
Jay walked to lead off the inning against Tyler Glasnow. Two outs later, after Jay moved to second on a wild pitch, the Pirates intentionally walked David Peralta to get to Marte.
The game was a pitchers' duel through the first 10 innings with neither team able to push across a run.
