At the plate: The Diamondbacks knocked around LHP Chris Narveson, who got the start instead of RHP Josh Tomlin, whom the Indians wanted to stash in a minor league game since he’ll be facing the Diamondbacks early in the season. 3B Jake Lamb tripled and walked, RF David Peralta singled twice and C Chris Herrmann lined a double to deep center.
On the mound: RHP Taijuan Walker was impressive in his five innings, giving up just four hits and no walks, striking out four. He escaped a pair of innings by getting double-play balls, and used his slider and change-up effectively, getting swings and misses on both.
