Former Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder J.D. Martinez and his agent, Scott Boras, continue to play the waiting game in free agency.
Martinez isn't Boras' only client without a deal so far.
The agent recently lashed out accusing the current regime of destroying the sport’s integrity.
More than 125 free agents still don't have contracts just a couple of weeks before players report for spring training in Arizona and Florida.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,’’ Boras told USA TODAY Sports' Bob Nightengale, “not like this.’’
“We have a non-competitive cancer that’s ruining the fabric of this sport,’’ Boras added.
