Goldy a model of consistency, leadership

MIAMI -- Paul Goldschmidt connected for a two-run homer in the third inning and singled in a run in the fifth to help erase an early four-run deficit, and it looked like the D-backs were on their way to another comeback victory.

But the Marlins' bullpen had other ideas. Five relievers combined for 4 2/3 shutout innings as Miami evened the series, handing Arizona a 7-5 loss on Friday at Marlins Park.

Goldschmidt tagged his 13th homer of the season and second in his last three games to get Arizona back into it.
