Giants 6, Diamondbacks 8

Taijuan Walker pitched six solid innings, surrendering four earned runs and striking out seven, on Wednesday night at Chase Field as the Arizona Diamondbacks held off the visiting San Francisco Giants 8-6. Walker gave the Diamondback faithful a reason to feel optimistic in his first start for Arizona.

Arizona was down 4-1 going into the bottom of the fifth before rallying for seven-runs in the next three innings to take the lead. Giants starting pitcher Matt Moore, who was 2-1 against Arizona last season, lasted only 5.1 innings and was dealt the loss after surrendering six runs, four earned.
