Pollock homers but Padres answer
A.J. Pollock led off by launching a home run to center field on the fifth pitch of the game, but the Padres answered by scoring a pair of runs off right-hander Zack Godley, and they lead the Diamondbacks 2-1 after 2 1/2 innings on Tuesday night.
Pollock is back in the leadoff spot for the first time since July 20 because left fielder David Peralta is out with a right quad injury.
