D-Backs trail in late innings
A.J. Pollock connected for his second home run of the game in the top of the sixth inning to cut the deficit to three runs, but the Padres scored in their half of the inning and led 6-2 after six innings.
Pollock took left-hander Travis Wood deep for the second time in three plate appearances, launching a ball into the left field seats with one out in the sixth.
