D-Backs’ bats quiet early vs. Dodgers
The Diamondbacks have just one hit through four innings against lefty Alex Wood, whose Dodgers had a 1-0 lead over right-hander Zack Godley through 3 1/2 innings at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday night.
Wood retired each of the first seven batters he faced and didn’t allow a hit until Jake Lamb’s two-out double in the fourth. Lamb’s hit put runners on second and third for Brandon Drury, but Wood struck out Drury to end the threat.
